About Me

Who I am

From a young age, I have always been creative. Some of my earliest memories are of me painting myself and the things around me. My family noticed my creative abilities and decided to put me in art classes, so I could express myself in a more efficient way. Between the ages of 9-13, I took classes from painter, Fehimeh Amiri, who taught me how to properly use acrylic paints. With Fehimeh, I was given the opportunity to display my artwork at The City Library amongst my peers.

In my early teens, I was given the opportunity to take classes at the Visual Art Institute in Salt Lake City. Here I was able to move beyond acrylic painting. A few things I learned at VAI are book binding, ceramics, sign painting, oil painting, and graphic design. I was even able to attain my associate certifications from Adobe in both Photoshop and Illustrator in 2018.

From painting with sign painters at Harmons Grocery to managing a social media account for a local business, I have used my experiences and skillset in jobs where visual design and communication are key.

My Values

I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication from The University of Utah, which has been enlightening as to how I would like to apply my degree in my future career. I take pride in my ability to listen with curiosity and in my problem-solving skills to create something that goes above and beyond the needs and wants of clients, making projects more personal for both the clients and their customer demographic.

Hobbies

In my free time, you will find me hanging out with my two dogs, Juneau and Kodiak, taking spin classes, and skiing. I have also recently taken up knitting and crocheting and have been teaching myself how to solder silver jewelry. Being able to constantly try new things is something that I love.
